Is scorethejob.com a scam?

This looks like a scam.

Job alert site whose sign-up loads other brands' logos

This site looks like a job board, but it says it is not an agent of any employer, and a setting in the link it is reached by can make its sign-up page load an airline's or a bank's logo. Its privacy policy says it has sold the personal details people enter here, so read that policy before you give your name, email or phone number.

Jacana would have flagged this before you got here.

Reasons for concern

  • Its sign-up page can load a big company's logo

Reached with a brand setting in the link, its sign-up page loads that company's logo. Pages fetched this way loaded the Delta and Bank of America logos.

  • Says it has sold visitors' personal details

Its privacy policy says it has sold personal information collected on the site, and lists Social Security number and credit card number among the details it may collect.

  • Says hiring now but represents no employer

Its home page offers jobs and says employers are hiring now. The footer of every page says it is not an agent or representative of any employer.

Reasons for confidence

  • Says it is run by scorethejob LLC

Its privacy policy page names scorethejob LLC as the company that runs the site.
