Clothing shop: danezon.com looks like a scam

This looks like a scam.

Clothing shop selling replicas under big brand names

This shop lists hoodies and jackets under team and brand names such as Nike, and says only further down the page, or in its terms, that items are recreated or replicas. A buyer said a jacket's photos showed the real brand's product while the listing called it a replica, and that what came was a cheap copy, so if you want the real brand, buy from that brand's own store.

Jacana would have flagged this before you got here.

Jacana flags scams in real time, before you tap, reply, or send money. About $4.16/mo, billed yearly. 7 days free.

Reasons for concern

  • Real brand names on replica items

A hoodie is listed as a Liverpool Nike Tech Fleece Hoodie, with an authentic material promise next to the buy button. Lower on the same page it says this is a recreated product, and the terms say some items are replicas.

  • Buyer report of photos showing the real product

A buyer told the Better Business Bureau's scam tracker that the listing called a branded jacket a replica, but its photos showed the real brand's jacket, and that what arrived was a cheap, lightweight copy. The buyer called the return policy inflexible.

  • Refund shrinks soon after ordering

Its policy gives a full refund only if you cancel within two days. After that it keeps part of your money, and after a week it accepts no cancellations.

  • Addresses in five countries but no company

Its contact page gives addresses in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Pakistan, and its product pages give another in Australia. None of its legal or contact pages names a company.
