Gadget shop: m.ivyever.com looks like a scam

This looks like a scam.

Gadget shop selling through pages dressed as news

This shop sells gadgets and craft kits through pages titled News, written as articles under writers' bylines, that end in a button offering up to half off. A shopper reported ordering ratchet straps from Ivyever and receiving fake designer shoes two months later, and the site names no company behind it.

Reasons for concern

  • Product ads dressed up as news stories

Its pages for a wallet, a sewing kit and a blood pressure monitor are titled News and written as articles under three different writers' bylines, all dated the day before we looked.

  • A buyer reported getting something else

A report on the BBB's Scam Tracker about Ivyever says ratchet straps ordered through Instagram took two months to arrive from China, and the parcel held fake designer shoes.

  • Medical claim for a gadget

The blood pressure monitor page says the device gives clinically accurate readings in seconds.

  • Shows the same reviews twice

On the wallet page the same three reviews marked Verified Purchase appear twice in a row.
