Shop: oakjuri.com looks like a scam

This looks like a scam.

Shop selling replica Cartier-style jewellery

This shop sells rings and bracelets under names like Cartier LOVE and Van Cleef & Arpels, and its own terms say the goods are replicas, not originals. A desktop visit showed a notice that the shop had been forced to close, while the same pages on a phone showed the full shop.

Jacana would have flagged this before you got here.

Reasons for concern

  • Sells copies under other brands' names

Its products carry names like Cartier LOVE ring and Van Cleef & Arpels Lucky Spring bracelet, each for under a hundred dollars. Its terms say the goods are high-quality replicas and not original.

  • Shows a closed notice to some visitors

On a desktop computer its home, about, terms and product pages showed a notice saying the shop had been permanently forced to cease operations. On a phone, or with an ad tag in the link, the same pages showed the full shop.

  • Warns that customs may hold parcels

Its shipping page says customs may open packages, that opened boxes are abandoned at customs, and that it will re-ship only once.

  • Names no company

Its terms say the site is run by [OAK JURI], with the square brackets left in. Its contact page gives a chat link and an email address, and no company name or street address.
