Report to Samsung
Last updated September 18, 2026
The short answer
Check the domain on any Samsung message, and report through support
Samsung scams lean on account suspension. One campaign claimed a new international law required account verification, with a fine attached. Samsung does not contact people by private message asking for details, verification or payment.
What they handle
- Messages claiming your Samsung account will be suspended
- Fake verification links on non-Samsung domains
- Samsung lottery and prize messages
- Fake Samsung job offers
How to file a report
- 1
Check the domain
Samsung email comes from @samsung.com or @partner.samsung.com, and official sites use the samsung.com domain. A verification link anywhere else is fake.
- 2
Do not reply, click or share data
Samsung says it will never contact you by private message to ask for personal details, verification or payment. Nothing in such a message is worth answering.
- 3
Report it through Samsung support
Contact Samsung through its own support channels rather than replying to the message or calling a number it supplied.
- 4
Treat any prize message as fake
Samsung has warned about lottery messages by email, SMS, WhatsApp and Messenger that ask for contact details or a payment to claim a prize.
What you'll need
- The message and the address or number it came from
- The link it contained, unclicked
- Your Samsung account email
What to expect
Samsung acts on brand misuse. A payment sent to a fake verification page never reached Samsung, so recovery runs through your bank.
Frequently asked questions
A message said my Samsung account would be suspended under a new law. Real?
No. That campaign has been reported, fine included. No law requires you to verify a Samsung account through a link in a message, and Samsung does not ask that way.
