Report to Hulu

The short answer
What Hulu never asks for, and how to secure an account after a phishing link
Hulu publishes a short list of things it never does, and it covers nearly every scam using its name. It will not contact you by social media, email, text or phone asking for payment or private account details.
What they handle
- Emails and texts claiming to be Hulu
- Calls asking for card or account details
- Phone numbers displayed unexpectedly in the app or on a web page
- Demands for gift cards or money orders to pay for service
How to file a report
- 1
Change your Hulu password
If you clicked a questionable link or entered information, update the password to a strong one that is unique to Hulu.
- 2
Log out of all devices
Hulu names this as the next step, because a password change alone does not always end an existing session.
- 3
Update anywhere you reused that password
Hulu asks you to update any other site or app where you used the same email and password combination.
- 4
Call your bank if you entered financial details
Hulu directs anyone who entered financial information to contact their financial institution to prevent fraud attempts.
What you'll need
- The email address on your Hulu account
- The message and where it came from
- The card details you entered, if any
What to expect
Hulu does not publish a phishing intake address, so this is about securing the account rather than filing a report. Support is reached through the Hulu Help Center.
Frequently asked questions
A Hulu support number appeared in the app. Should I call it?
No. Hulu says it will never unexpectedly display a phone number in the app or on web pages outside the Help Center or HuluBot. A number appearing that way is planted.
