Report to DoorDash
Last updated September 18, 2026
The short answer
Report DoorDash scam texts and calls through in-app support
The DoorDash scam is a call or text from "Support" needing your password or a one-time code. It usually comes attached to a bonus or an urgent account problem. DoorDash never needs either. Reporting goes through support in the app rather than by email.
What they handle
- Calls and texts from someone claiming to be DoorDash Support
- Offers of a bonus in exchange for your password
- Phishing links sent by text or email
- Accounts taken over after credentials were shared
How to file a report
- 1
Contact support in the app
Use the "?" or HELP button if you are mid-delivery, otherwise file a case through the support portal. DoorDash support is also on (855) 431-0459 and in app chat.
- 2
Check the sender domain
DoorDash says a message that does not come from an @doordash.com address is likely fraudulent.
- 3
Never give a password or one-time code
DoorDash may call to confirm a recent change, but it will never ask for a one-time login passcode or your account password. It does not need your password to pay you.
What you'll need
- The number or address that contacted you
- Screenshots of the message
- The date and time of the call
What to expect
Support can lock and recover an account. Money taken from a linked card or bank is recovered through that bank, not through DoorDash.
Frequently asked questions
Someone from DoorDash called about my account. Should I answer their questions?
Not if they ask for a password or a code. DoorDash does call to confirm changes, but never asks for either. Hang up and reach support yourself through the app.
