Report to Bumble
Last updated September 18, 2026
The short answer
Report a Bumble profile or chat anonymously, and track the report
Bumble has two report paths depending on where you are, and one detail the others do not offer. You can track the progress of your report in the app through the Help Hub, so it does not just disappear.
What they handle
- Profiles that are not authentic or impersonate someone
- Anyone asking for money, goods or personal information
- Crypto and investment pitches from matches
- Sextortion and image-based threats
How to file a report
- 1
Report from the profile
Scroll to the bottom of their profile and tap Hide and Report. Choose a reason and add any comments for the moderation team.
- 2
Report from the conversation
Tap the three dots in the top right, then Unmatch and Report, and specify the reason.
- 3
Pick the reason that fits
The options include "feels like spam", "has asked me for money" and "fake profile". Being specific is what gets it to the right team.
- 4
Track it in the Help Hub
Bumble says you can follow the progress of your report in the app, and that it will keep you updated as it goes.
What you'll need
- Screenshots of the chat, taken before you unmatch
- The name and photos on the profile
- Details of anything you sent them
What to expect
Your report is private and anonymous, and the person is not told you filed it. Bumble reviews it and acts on the account.
Frequently asked questions
Should I unmatch first or report first?
Screenshot first, then report. Unmatching can put the conversation out of reach, and the conversation is what the moderation team needs.
Company guide
Bumble scams
Knowing which scam you were hit by makes the report better. This is how scams impersonating Bumble actually work, what the company will never ask you for, and the warning signs to recognise next time.
